Howard E. Campbell, Jr. |
Howard was the force behind creating and organizing the
Memorial for Veterans located at the High School. |

Scott C. Carey |
U. S. Marine Corps
Scott was a proud Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War
receiving an Honorable Discharge as Sergeant after completing two tours of
duty in Vietnam and one year in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Scott died May 10, 2005.

Robert Edward Cleaver |
Robert served in the U.S. Navy from Dec. 1968 - Nov. 1972, as an Aviation
Electrician. He served off the coast of Vietnam during 1972. |

Richard R. Fetterman |
Richard enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in January
1973. After basic training and tech school, he was a Computer System
Repairman at Ft. Fisher Air Station in North Carolina. He was
commissioned as an officer in Dec. 1974. In the field of
Communications, he did tours of duty at Hasting RBS, Nebraska, Barksdale
AFB, LA, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan, and Griffiss AFB, NY. Upon separation
from the active Air Force in Oct. 1, 1986, he became a member of the
Massachusetts Air National Guard in Worcester, MA. In March 1991, he
transferred to the PA Air National Guard at Ft. Indiantown Gap. He
was the military Commander of the 211 Engineering Installation Squadron
from 1997 to 2003. While in the Air Guard, he was the Detachment
Commander, Federal Civil Service, managing the full time technician force
of a number of Communication Units. He was activated onto Active
Duty for 10 months in 2003 for a tour as Engineering Installation Advisor
to the Chief of Command, Control, Communications, Computer Information
(C4I) for USCENTCOM, Shaw Air Force Base, SC. In 2004, he was again
activated for 4 months and served in the same capacity at Al Udeid AB,
Qatar. His duties required trips to bases in Iraq and
Afghanistan. Richard retired from the military in December 2004 at
the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. |

Dale R. Forsythe |
U. S. Army Dale gave the ultimate sacrifice in serving our country.
Thank you. Died in military service January 19, 1970 while
servicing in Binh Dinh Province, South Vietnam. According to the
Virtual Wall (see virtualwall.org), it was due to hostile gun or small arms
fire. Dale was only in Vietnam a little over a month when he gave the
ultimate sacrifice. According to the Virtual Wall, Dale was with the 2nd
Platoon, C Company, 2nd BN, 35th Infantry, 4th Inf Div, USARV. |

John Louis Furek |
U. S. Navy John served in the US Navy for 6 years on
submarine duty starting right after graduation. |

Robert E. Golla |
Marine Corp 1969 - 71 Died Oct., 29, 2005 |

Corey F. Kreischer |
Corey served in Viet Nam with the U. S. Army. He was
awarded the Bronze Star Medal for life saving action during the conflict.
Corey was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. |

Conrad A Markle |
Conrad served in the United States Navy as an airplane
mechanic from 1969 to 1973 with an honorable discharge. |

Phillip May |
Phillip served with the U. S. Army as an air traffic
controller in Vietnam. Phillip died Aug. 20, 2007. |

Duayne A. Powell |
Corps unknown Died February 28, 1991
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he had been a disabled veteran.

Discharge as a Sergeant.

Ronald Torsella |
Ron served with the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973 in
Security Police. He volunteered to go to Viet Nam and was there in
1970 assigned to the 35 th. Security Police Squadron at Phan Rang Air Base.
He was assigned to Heavy Weapons as an 81 MM mortar gunner. His
mortar pit was called Copperhead. Phan Rang was the only base in
Viet Nam that was defended entirely by Security Police. While in Viet
Nam, Ron received the Air Force Commendation Medal. He then
volunteered to go to Korea where he was assigned to Suwon Air Base with the
6170th. Combat Support Squadron assigned to Base Security. He was
honorably discharged as Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force. He then
enlisted in the Pennsylvania National Guard in Berwick, company "C".
He served until 1976 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. |
